A bit of atmosphere

Two views of some graffiti in my neighborhood: across the street from the busstop where I would get the bus to university if I took the bus instead of cycling. Looks like Liberty, but also a bit like an American Indian?

Here is my favourite souveneer from Istanbul, blisters from walking over as
much of the city as possible. I was there reading a paper about my documentary film and theory work, at a conference, called Visible Evidence.
This photo shows that there are two crematoria in my neighborhood. Right behind this sign, notice the self-storage facility.
Here's a frontal view of the 'Big Yellow Self-Storage' near the crematoria in my neighborhood.

Below you'll find a few of the 'Sainsbury's Own Brand' products--the cheap brand at the supermarket. I took a few photos of them recently out of interest in the little sayings on the packages: each one has an 'apology' for why they're not as good as more expensive brands, and a 'consolation' reassuring us that there is nothing wrong with them. (These are not necessarily products I buy.) I like the little pictures on them too! I noticed that, for the last product below--the feminine product--there is just nothing that can be said!

Finally, below is a photo of my electricity meter: when the electric heater and lights stop working, run out to the shop and put a tenner on the key, bring the key back, and pop it back in the meter. It's all very exciting.
